One dead, one charged with felony DUI in Georgetown County

A late night crash killed one man and another was charged with DUI in Georgetown County.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on Waverly Road.

Troopers say a Land Rover traveling west ran off the right side of the road, flipped several times, and came to a stop against a tree.

The passenger, a 20 year-old man from Beaufort, died in the crash.

The driver, 19 year-old Eugene Miller of Pawleys Island was taken to an area hospital.

Miller was charged with Felony DUI.

The Highway Patrol continues to investigate this wreck.
