Marion School District 2 Director of Fine Arts Marissa Monroe recently announced a campaign would be launched to raise $60,000 for the district's fine arts program.
Monroe said Thursday that the musical group the event was to have featured will not be available and the event has been postponed. Other efforts, she said would be conducted to help raise money for the fine arts building and program. The building, it is hoped, will also be used for an after-school enrichment program, Monroe said.
