Vigil held for domestic violence victims

Family and friends gathered in Columbia Monday morning, remembering the victims who died because of domestic violence this past year. The "Silent Witness" memorial is an annual ceremony held at the Statehouse. South Carolina Attorney General, Henry McMaster, read the names of the 32 victims. Twenty-eight women and 4 men died this year because of domestic violence. Thirty-three silhouettes also recognized the potential unknown victims.
This is just one of the awarenss events planned for October, which is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
