Bennettsville police arrested six people as a result of an undercover drug investigation that began Aug. 1.
Police said the investigation was prompted by several complaints of drug activity at a local motel. They made undercover crack cocaine and marijuana buys from several people Thursday night; six of them were arrested and charged with distribution of crack cocaine and distribution of crack cocaine within a half mile of a playground.
