Agents from the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Taskforce and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division captured a Hartsville murder suspect at a Greyhound Bus Station in Pittsburgh, Penn., Thursday night, according to Hartsville Police Chief Tim Kemp.
Eddie Anthony Huggins, 39, is wanted for robbery and the brutal murder of Hartsville resident Keith Hoyle Hancock, 57, at Garner's Seed and Farm Supplies that occurred on Monday, Sept. 29.
Officers from SLED, Darlington Police Department and the Hartsville Police Department also arrested Christy Huggins, 407 Dutch Street, Darlington, and Antranette Huggins, 550 W. Darlington Street Apt 118, Florence, and both are charged with accessory after fact of murder, in connection to Keith Hancock case. Both women are currently being held at the Darlington County Detention Center and will have a bond hearing at 4 p.m., Kemp said.
According to Kemp, police got a tip that Huggins was trying to travel to Philadelphia, Penn. the U.S. Marshal's Taskforce was notified, and Huggins was picked up at the bus station without incident, Kemp said.
Hartsville Police and SLED investigators will now look to begin the process to extradite Huggins back to South Carolina. He will be charged with murder and robbery.
"The important thing is that he is in jail and won't be hurting anybody else," Kemp said.
