The Second Chance K9 Rescue of the Pee Dee and Carolinas Kitties Rescue will hold a pet adoption from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bi-Lo, 2640 W. Palmetto St., Florence. A variety of pets will be available.

Dogs and puppies will have been recently bathed, and each adopted dog will be go home with a lead and a starter bag of food. Dogs older than six months are already spayed or neutered and up-to-date on all their shots. Puppies will be up-to-date on all their shots and deworming, and some will already have been spayed or neutered.

All cats and kittens are up-to-date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV tested negative, treated against fleas, dewormed, and spayed or neutered if they are old enough.

State law requires all animals adopted from a shelter, pound and/or rescue be spayed or neutered.

Both rescues rely on donations and adoption fees to help pay for animal care. For more information about Second Chance K9 Rescue, e-mail Carol at humanegirl57@yahoo.com. For more information about Carolinas Kitties Rescue, call (843) 383-4980.
