Two Hartsville men were arrested after deputies said they robbed several people inside a Hartsville home, Darlington County Sheriff’s Lt. Robin Bryant said.

Phillip Leroy Amerson, 26, and Justin Corey Anderson, 21, both of 2849 Patrick Highway, Hartsville, were booked Tuesday at the Darlington County Detention Center.

Amerson is charged with armed robbery, while Anderson is charged with grand larceny (value more than $1,000 but less than $5,000), bookings reports show.

The incident happened Nov. 15 at a home on Redbird Lane, Bryant said. One of the victims heard a loud knock, opened the door and found a man dressed in camouflage, a mask and holding a shotgun. The man and a second suspect forced everyone inside the home to lie face down on the floor while they took a large amount of money from the home.

Amerson remains in custody at the jail under a $15,000 bond. Anderson also remains in custody at the jail, as his bond was denied.
