The Latta Early Childhood Center in Dillon School District 3 was recently honored by the National Education Association for its efforts in promoting literacy.
The Latta Center was awarded the “Best Pre-kindergarten to Kindergarten Event or Activity for a Local School.”
The early childhood center celebrated Dr. Seuss’ Birthday for an entire week by reading and conducting activities related to literacy.
Students were able to make Dr. Seuss’ hats with their parents and showed off their creations during a school parade.
