Ralph Williamson
Ralph Durwood Williamson, 69, died on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008. He was the son of the late John Pearl and Ada McClellan Williamson.
At an early age, he joined the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where a funeral was conducted on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008. The Rev. A.C. Robinson, pastor, officiated and interment was in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Oscar, Jeremiah, Calvin, Jerome of Aynor, Mary Alice McGill and Ada Mae Gerald of Paterson, N.J.; and a nephew, Tim McGill.

Mary Marguerite Brown
Mary Marguerite Brown, 94, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 in Dundee Manor, Bennettsville after an illness. She was born on July 21, 1914 in Marion, a daughter of the late Jesse and Ida Brown.
Miss Brown was a graduate of Columbia College and taught French, Latin and English in the public schools for 42 years. She was director of dramatic performances at Marion High School for many years and a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
Miss Brown was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marion. Surviving Miss Brown are several great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Hazel B. Tatum and two brothers, Frank Brown and Cliff Brown.
Services were at 1 p.m. on Nov. 11, with burial in Old Town Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Marion, 307 E. Godbold St., Marion, 29571 or to McColl Methodist Church, N. Main St., McColl, 29570.

William 'Billy' Dixon Jr.
William Tillman "Billy" Dixon Jr., 48 of Union, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2008 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Dixon was born in Union on Oct. 7, 1960, a son of Mary Parr Dixon and the late William Tillman Dixon Sr. He was a 1978 graduate of Union Academy, and attended Francis Marion University and Florence Darlington Technical College.
Mr. Dixon was a self-employed woodworking craftsman and was previously employed with Marion Memorial Hospital. He was an avid car enthusiast, gardener and collector of antiques. Mr. Dixon had a special interest in the research and cure of the disease of Neuropathy.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a sister, Amy Dixon and husband Randy Green of Union; a niece, Jill Babb and companion Richard James Crocker of Union; two great-nieces, Haleigh Miranda and Mary Elizabeth Babb; and an aunt, Virginia Whitlock of Columbia.
A funeral was at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008 in Salem Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Wayne Cook and the Rev. Jim Ivey. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Neuropathy Association, Inc., 60 E. 42nd Street, Suite #942, New York, NY 10165.
