The Pee Dee Regional Education Center is sponsoring a Manufacturing Career Fair aimed at informing educators about available careers in the region.
The fair will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology, 2715 W. Lucas St., Florence.
Manufacturers will be available to share details about the products, skills and training requirements of the various positions within the company, and how educators can better prepare students or adults for those positions. The fair is open to career specialists, guidance counselors, educators and work force agencies. For details, call (843) 661-8277.
