A Latta man was killed Saturday after the bicycle he was riding was struck by a truck, Dillon County Coroner Dan Grimsley said.
Randall Irvin Jr., 40, was pronounced dead at the scene at about 6:30 p.m., he said.
The crash happened on U.S. 301 between Latta and Dillon but the second vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene before authorities arrived.
State troopers are looking for a light-colored Chevy Tahoe from the 2001 to 2004 model years. The vehicle is expected to have front-end damage, particularly on its passenger side.
