Mullins Chamber plans parade, second 'Tree of Lights'

The holiday season is a time to share memories and remember loved ones, a time to exchange gifts and celebrate friendships.

Again this year, the Greater Mullins Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Tree of Lights as a holiday fundraising event. Remembrance Tree Lights are purchased and placed on the tree in honor or in memory of loved ones and friends. Lights are $5 each. Call the Chamber office at 464-651 or any board member to sponsor a bulb.

Additionally, the Greater Mullins Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade will begin at 2 p.m. on Dec. 6.

The Tree of Lights Celebration and Lighting of the Town Christmas Tree at the Depot will be from 5:30-8:15 p.m. on Dec. 7. Hot cider will be served at Anderson Brothers Bank on Main Street.

At the close of the Tree Lighting, participants are invited to the warmth of O’Hara’s Century House for dessert and coffee and a time of fellowship with family and friends. Cost is $6 per person.

The Mullins Candlelight Tour of Churches will be on Dec. 7, after the tree lighting on Main Street.
