A Chesterfield County man was arrested after deputies found more than $50,000 in stolen goods on his property in the Jefferson area of the county, Chesterfield County Sheriff's Sgt. Wayne Jordan said.
Henry Miller faces possession of stolen goods charges, Jordan said. Miller remains in custody at the Chesterfield County jail on bail.
An informant told deputies Monday the suspect had stolen goods on his property, Jordan said. Deputies searched the property and found $50,000 in stolen trailers, air compressors, four-wheelers and refrigerators.
The suspect led them to another property in Lancaster County where they discovered about $150,000 in stolen goods. The discoveries explain what became of several items taken during burglaries in Chesterfield, Lancaster and Union (N.C.) counties, Jordan said.
Two suspects were identified in connection with that scene but haven’t been arrested, Jordan said.
Several items recovered from both scenes remain unclaimed. Jordan said deputies are hoping to return the items to their rightful owners. Anyone who can described their stolen belongings and present documents proving ownership to deputies can take them home.
