Workers at the Horry County Republican and Democratic headquarters are busy in the final hours leading up to the general election. Officials with both parties say they are working on making numerous phone calls, and coordinating poll watchers.

Between the five Republican Party offices in the county, they are trying to get as many people out to the polls on Tuesday as possible.

Republican headquarters Vice Chair, Paul Grimm, says, "In all these offices, we're making three to 4,000 calls a day to get out the loyal Republicans."

Officials with the Democratic Party say they have noticed a big difference this year than in year's past.

Democratic Headquarters Chairman, Shirley Greene, says, "We need to keep a contact with our voter base. Particularly those people we know are registered to vote, or helped get registered to vote, so that they understand where to vote, because they get discouraged if they don't have all that information."

Officials at both headquarters say they've been working more than 12 hours a day in the days leading up to the election.
