A Florence man is dead after a single car collision Saturday night, according to the Florence County Coroner’s Office.
Demarquis Donta Gurley, 20, of Cobblestone St., Florence, was pronounced dead at a local hospital from injuries sustained in the crash.
Gurley had been driving along the 400 block of Cherokee Road when his car ran off the side of the road and hit a light pole. The car overturned several times, ejecting Gurley from the vehicle onto the front lawn of the All Saint’s Episcopal Church, officials from the Florence Police Department said.
