Two Marion cousins charged in pit bull theft

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Two 17-year-old Marion cousins were arrested Tuesday after police say they took two pit bulls from a residence and forced one of the animals to fight, Marion Police Lt. Farmer Blue said.

Tony Foxworth of 505 Baker St. and Tyshan Foxworth of 211 Martin Luther King Blvd. each are charged with grand larceny, animal fighting and baiting, Blue said.

Police say someone took a male and a female pit bull from a home on Allen Drive on May 22. Both dogs were recovered Friday, but the female dog was injured and appeared to have been forced to participate in a fight, Blue said.

The teens remained in custody at the Marion County Detention Center at press time Wednesday.
