Sellers to have referendum

The town of Sellers will have a special referendum election on June 10. There will be two questions on the ballot.
The first question is”Shall the town of Sellers, South Carolina (the Town) be empowered to sell grant, transfer and convey the Town’s sewer to Grand Strand Water & Sewer Authority?”
The second question is “Shall the town of Sellers, South Carolina (the Town) be empowered to grant an exclusive franchise to Grand Strand Water & Sewer Authority for furnishing wastewater collection and disposal services within the town limits, as these limits may be expanded in the future through duly noticed and approved annexation, for an initial period of thirty (30) years, which shall be renewed for successive ten (10) year periods unless by the terminated by the town?”
Ballots will cast in town hall from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Questions should be directed to the Marion County Voter Registration and Election Commission Director Teresa Moody at (843) 423-8268.
