The S.C. Association of Countywide Elected Executives Board of Directors presented Florence County treasurer and SCACEE member Dean Fowler Jr. with the Service Excellence Award on Wednesday in Dorchester County. The statewide group consists of members of all the countywide elected offices: auditors, clerks of courts, coroners, probate judges, sheriffs, treasurers and record of mesne.
Fowler also served as president of SCACEE for three separate terms and has served on the Board of Directors since being elected to countywide office.
During his presidency, he added continuing education to the group’s mission and instituted a fund for legal assistance to countywide officials.
