First Citizens Appoints Advisory Board

First Citizens in Lake City recently selected four Lake City-based business leaders to serve on its advisory board council. Scott Askins, president of Carolina Prestress Corporation; Mamie McClam, retired principal in Clarendon school district; Jane Player, pharmacist and certified diabetes educator at Piggly Wiggly pharmacy; and Robbie Steele, vice president of Southern Distributing Company, join six other board members in serving on this council. Board members are selected to represent a cross-section of the community, and provide advice for business opportunities.
Advisory board council members provide guidance to First Citizens management on a wide range of issues, including business development, strategic initiatives, and economic trends. The council is comprised of senior leaders from the public and private sectors.
“It is a privilege for us to have such experienced and influential leaders on our board. Their guidance and recommendations provide the cornerstones of our banking strategies in this market,” said Donna Nettles, market executive for the Florence County market.
Current board members include: R. Stewart Altman, president, Marshall’s Marine, W. Clinton Carter Jr., retired owner, Superior Cleaners, Don E. Coker, president, Coker Oil, James Vernon Epps, retired insurance and real estate agent, Dr. Albert D. Mims, Pee Dee family practice and Charles D. Moore, president, Acel Construction.
