The city of Florence and the Florence Downtown Development Corp. on Friday will treat residents to lunch with the first “Picnic in the Plaza.”
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the new downtown breezeway, on the 100 block of West Evans Street.
Since the 1980s, the city has provided citizens each May with lunch in one of the city’s parks.
