An early morning crash killed one person in Florence County Tuesday. Trooper Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the incident happened around 2:45 a.m. when a stranded motorist who was parked in the emergency lane on the southbound side of I-95 near the 149 mile marker was struck from behind by a F-250 pickup.
Collins says the driver in the stranded car died at the scene. No word yet on the identity of the victim.
Collins says charges are pending in this case.
