»  Comments | Post a Comment

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still looking for a suspect following a fatal hit-and-run accident Saturday morning in Dillon County.
Milton Hyatt, 55, of Hamer was struck by a vehicle on Old Latta Highway, according to Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins. He died of multiple trauma injuries at the scene.
Collins said the accident still is under investigation and that highway patrol is looking for a 1989-1996 model Jeep Grand Cherokee or Laredo. He believes the vehicle is a green color.
He originally thought the vehicle was a mid-to-late 1980s General Motors vehicle, but after further investigation says the green Jeep is of interest.
Collins said the vehicle would have damage to the front signal light, front head light and possibly the windshield.
If anyone has seen a car with recent damage or has any information on this accident, call (843) 661-4705, or use any cell phone carrier and text *HP (*47).
