When Pee Dee Academy K4 students returned to school after Christmas break this year, they discovered a new look for their classroom.
Many new learning centers had been added for enrichment, challenge, and reinforcement to enhance the proven phonics-based academic curriculum. Dr. Floyd Creech, a PDA parent, worked with Pat Drew, the K4 teacher, to plan and implement these new ideas. Pee Dee Academy is grateful to the PTSO and Student Council for providing financing for these improvements in the academic program.
The excitement over the changes in K4 has led to the addition of a new K3 program for 2008-09. The 3-year-olds will have a safe environment with the comforts of home in which to participate in individual and group activities.
The new classroom design and learning centers of K4 will be incorporated in K3 and also K5. PDA is accepting students for K3 - 12 now for the coming year. Call 324-1771 for information.
