Darlington police arrest man, father in domestic incident

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Police have arrested a man and his father in connection with a domestic incident involving a gun, Darlington Police Capt. Danny Watson said.

Kevin Nettles, 31, of 409 Juleswood Drive in Darlington faces charges of possessing a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, aggravated criminal domestic violence, and simple assault, Watson said.

Nettles is accused of assaulting the mother of his child at an apartment on the 200 block of Shuler Street and threatening the woman with a gun, Watson said.

His father, 54-year-old Jessie Nettles Jr. of the same address, was charged Friday as an accessory after the fact to a felony. Watson said the man interceded by taking the gun from his son before both men fled, but wouldn’t tell police where the weapon or his son were.
