Hartsville pitt bull still in animal control custody

Darlington County Animal Control said the ten day observation period is up for the pitt bull Hartsville police said attacked a 12 year-old girl on June 11th.
The girl suffered minor injuries from the attack, and was treated and released from the hospital that day.
Officials said the dog showed no sings of rabies, but it is still in quarantine.
Animal Control is waiting on DHEC for final closure of the case.
They will not release the animal until there is a proper place to keep it.
The owner of the dog, is still incarcerated.
