I feel bike rallies must stay. They bring millions of dollars to South Carolina. By stopping this our city and state taxes will go up. This means we, as taxpayers will suffer. This will cut out jobs, raise city and county taxes, and eventually hurt us.
Yes, I do get tired of the noise and traffic, but for three weeks of the year I can sacrifice and others might agree. Did the mayor of Myrtle Beach grow up down here?
Is he looking out for the people or himself?
I want to know would he pay the tax increase. These rallies help pay his salary. Without this we suffer. This puts less strain on the taxpayers.
We have retirees that live on fixed budgets and are barely surviving now, so how can we stop these rallies without hurting them or ourselves? If the mayor, or councilmen can provide us with this security of income, provide it.
