Sunday night, Myrtle Beach police responded to a home at 1332 Melanie Lane after dispatchers reported a 911 hang up call came in from the address, according to police.
Officers reported that 45 year old Jameel Sameen Naadir was inside the home and threatened to kill his wife.
When police arrived, investigators said Naadir got into his vehicle and left the home.
The victim told officers that Naadir came home and immediately started yelling at her, then the verbal abuse because physical and violent after she said Naadir forced her into a back bedroom after she tried to leave the home.
Once inside the bedroom, the victim told police she locked the door, but Naadir kicked it in.
The woman said she tried to leave once again, but Naadir stood in the hallway and held her inside the home.
Naadir ripped the phone out of the wall and took his wife’s keys and cell phone to keep her from calling for help, according to the arrest warrant.
Naadir kept threatening to kill his wife, but left the home after police arrived, according to the warrant.
A judge set Naadir’s bond at $30,000 at a hearing Tuesday.
As of this posting Naadir remains jailed under bond.
