Mullins Police officers arrested two men on June 11 in connection with a robbery at a home on Idlewood Court on June 3.
Ernest Abrams Jr, 18, and Roscoe Worley, 19, both of Mullins, were arrested and charged with strong arm robbery, conspiracy and kidnapping, Lt. Joe Graham said. According to the incident report, a male and two female victims returned home from the store when the owner noticed someone had kicked his front door open.
They went inside, but didn’t notice anything missing. While inside, the door was kicked open again and two subjects came in wearing bright red and white bandanas covering their face. The male victim said one of the subjects touched his pants pocket, saying he had a weapon and demanded money. The other approached one of the female victims and searched her before leaving the scene, only taking a pack of cigarettes.
Two of the victims said in the report that they had seen the men before going to the store. A female victim reported she went outside to close her car door when approached by the subjects, was told to be quiet and then returned inside the home. She said one of the subjects was wearing black jeans, a black t-shirt, and a bright red and white bandana with shades covering his face.
According to the report, she recognized his clothing, because Abrams was wearing the same clothes, including the shades and bandana earlier in the day. Lt. Graham said the victims identified both men as the suspects and they have been booked into the the Marion County Detention Center.
Officers also arrested 17-year old Robert Johnson of Mullins, along with two juveniles for first-degree burglary and conspiracy, Capt. Michael Bethea said. The incident occurred on June 11 between 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on East End Street. The three subjects broke into the residence, but never came in contact with the owner, he said. Johnson is also being held in the Marion County Detention Center, while the juveniles are in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
On June 18, officers arrested 21-year old Quincy Cribb for robbery. The incident took place shortly before noon at the Sav-Way Food Store. Witnesses told officers a black male subject purchased a beer and when the cashier opened the register, he jumped over the counter, pushed the cashier away and took an undisclosed amount before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
