»  Comments | Post a Comment

The Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly hit and run accident in Horry County. Lance Corporal Sonny Collins of the South Carolina Highway Patrol says it happened just before 12:30 Thursday morning on Oak Street Extension in Conway, between Four Mile and Cultra Roads.

Collins says a vehicle hit a pedestrian. While the driver was calling 911, another car hit the pedestrian and left. Highway patrol wants to talk to the second driver. There is no description of the vehicle at this time, but anyone with information is asked to call the Highway Patrol. The pedestrian died at the scene, but we don't know yet what car killed the pedestrian. The MAIT team continues to investigate.
