Medicaid members are invited to attend a town meeting in the Pee Dee region during June to learn more about health plan choices. These meetings will be at various times, in several locations, in the region to allow Medicaid members to meet health plan representatives, ask questions and enroll in the health plan of their choice. Medicaid beneficiaries in South Carolina have the option to choose their own health plans sponsored by the Department of Health and Human Services’ Healthy Connections Choices program. Since its launch in 2007, thousands of Medicaid recipients have extra health care benefits by signing up to a healthcare plan.
Meetings will be from 10-11:30 a.m. and 6-7:30 p.m. on:
Wednesday, June 18, Department of Social Services Commons Service Room, 201 North Page St., Chesterfield;
Thursday, June 19, Harts-ville Memorial Library, 147 West College St., Hartsville;
Monday, June 23, Dillon County Library, 600 East Main St., Dillon;
Tuesday, June 24, Marion County Technical Education Center, 2697 East Highway 76, Mullins;
Wednesday, June 25, Horry County Memorial Library, 801 Main St., Conway;
Thursday, June 26, Poynor Adult and Community Education Center, 301 South Dargan St., Florence and
