As a conservative Republican, I do not have much reason to go vote on Tuesday except for the county positions that are at stake.
I have vowed never to vote for “Mr. Liberal” again. In my book Sen. Lindsey Graham is no Republican.
Then about three weeks I see signs throughout Florence County for Buddy Witherspoon, and the bottom of his sign, which definitely caught my eye: Lindsey is too liberal for S.C.
After reading Witherspoon’s stand on the major issues on his Web site, my husband and I have a reason to go vote on Tuesday.
It has been a very sad year for Republicans.
In my opinion our party has lost its way. In a year when we could put the strongest Republican presidential candidate up against the comic show that is happening in the Democratic Party, our party chooses Senator McCain?
He was my last choice, so my walk into the voting booth in November will be a very solemn one.
I think the only conservative Republicans left are on the talk show radio circuit, because there are not too many left in Washington.
Of course, my favorite senator, who always makes me proud, even if I didn’t live in South Carolina, is Sen. DeMint.
Above all, just remember to vote on Tuesday. There are many city and county positions at stake.
