FLORENCE — Five incumbents and four new board members were elected to four-year terms on the Francis Marion University Board of Trustees by the General Assembly last week.
Re-elected for another four-year term to the FMU board were Melissa Johnson Emery of Conway, representing Congressional District 1; Gail Ness Richardson of Barnwell, representing Congressional District 2; Patricia C. Hartung of Greenwood, representing Congressional District 3; George McIntyre of Bennettsville, representing Congressional District 5; and William W. Coleman Jr. of Florence, representing Congressional District 6.
New board members are Laura Stroman Crowther of Columbia, representing Congressional District 2; Brad Boles of Piedmont, representing Congressional District 4; J. Kevin O’Kelly of Florence, a governor appointee; and Timothy Norwood of Florence, an at-large representative.
The 17-member board is made up of two representatives from each of the six congressional districts, as well as three at-large members and two gubernatorial appointees.
