One person died in a motorcycle crash early Thursday morning. According to Myrtle Beach Police the crash happened on South Ocean Boulevard near the Air Force base.
Horry County coronoer identifies the driver as Laurence Nickle. Police say he was driving his motorcycle at a high rate of speed when trying to make a turn he lost control and went straight into the wooded area. The driver then hit a tree. He was not wearing a helmet and was dead on the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
