Marion County Combined Drug unit announce arrests

Marion County Sheriff Mark Richardson announced that Wayne McLaughlin, 48, of Mullins was found guilty after a jury trail Wednesday in General Sessions Court for possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession with intent to distribute cocaine base. McLaughlin, owner of WT’s Lounge in Mullins, was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
The following people, charged with distribution of controlled substances, were also sentenced during the recent term of court:
Joseph Robinson of Mullins sentenced to 10 years;
Eric Faulk of Mullins sentenced to six years; and
Lester “Tank” Davis of Brittons Neck, sentenced to 7 years.
“I hope by now the drug dealers in Marion County realize we have zero tolerance for their activities and law enforcement along with Solicitor Clements Office are taking a positive action,”Richardson said. All drug cases were prosecuted by Deputy Solicitor John Jerpertinger.
Richardson also released names of several people whow were arrested made by the Marion County Combined Drug Unit, resulting from multiple investigations during the month of May. The Drug Unit has made vigorous strides in the past month working towards controlling the illegal drug trade in Marion County. The arrests are:
Jerry Wayne Locklear, 41, of Mullins, charged with trafficking in marijuana.
Donta Leonardio Rice, 31, of Mullins, charged with distribution of cocaine base, third or subsequent offense and distribution of controlled substance within proximity of a school.
Eric Durrell Faulk, 28, of Mullins, charged with distribution of cocaine base and distribution of controlled substance within proximity of a school.
Tracy Michelle Heath, 19, of Mullins, charged with distribution of cocaine base and conspiracy to distribute cocaine base.
Joseph Robinson, 43, of Mullins, charged with distribution of cocaine base, third or subsequent offense and conspiracy to distribute cocaine base.
Jeffery Kennard Wroten, 18, of Marion, charged with distribution of cocaine base and distribution of controlled substance within proximity of a school.
Billy Corenthesis Moody, 28, of Mullins, charged with distribution of cocaine base, third or subsequent offense and distribution of controlled substance within proximity of a school.
Jamaal Fredrick Smith, 25, of Mullins, charged with distribution of cocaine base and distribution of controlled substance within proximity of a school.
