Horry County Police charged 29-year-old Jason Lee Dunn of Elon, North Carolina with a peeping tom charge stemming from an incident at the Myrtle Beach Tanger Outlet.
Police charged Dunn after witnesses said they saw him taking cell phone pictures of a 12-year-old boy inside a bathroom stall Saturday.
The victim was in town with his family on vacation and had returned home at the time of the hearing Sunday, according to a victim’s advocate at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
Dunn told a county judge Sunday that he did not have a prior criminal record and had never been arrested for anything.
Dunn told the judge that he was taking medications at the time, one of which Dunn said was hydrocodone.
The judge set Dunn’s bond at $5,000 and ordered him to have no contact with the victim in the case.
As of this posting, Dunn remained jailed under bond.
