Suspect sought in Florence shooting

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Police are still looking for the suspect they say shot a man in the hip area during an altercation involving several people Monday, Florence Police Maj. Carlos Raines said.

The victim was treated at a local hospital and released Tuesday night.

Investigators aren’t sure how many people were involved in the incident, which took place at Waverly Acres Apartments, Raines said. They believe the fight is a continuation of a disagreement that happened Sunday between the same people.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the police department at (843) 665-3191 or Crime Stoppers of the Pee Dee at (843) 667-TIPS (8477) or (866) 369-TIPS (8477). Callers need not reveal their identities.
