SCDOT considers amendment to improvement program

The S.C. Department of Transportation is considering an amendment the 2007-2012 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to include Federal Bonus Bridge Program funds for fiscal year 2008.

A copy of the proposed allocation of Federal Bonus Bridge Program Funds will be made available for public review on the Internet at www.scdot.org/inside/public_comment_.shtml, as well as at the Pee Dee Regional Council of Governments (serving Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Marion and Marlboro counties), 2319 Regional Road, Florence; the Waccamaw Regional Planning and Development Council of Governments (serving Williamsburg, Georgetown and Horry counties), 1230 Highmarket St., Georgetown; and at the SCDOT District District 5 office, 3018 E. Palmetto St., Florence.

Comments will be accepted until July 21 and should be forwarded to Mark Pleasant, SCDOT statewide planning chief, 955 Park St., P.O. Box 191, Columbia, SC 29202 or pleasantmd@scdot.org.
