South Carolina Sea Grant Consortium officials say the launch of 2 underwater robots will be delayed because of bad weather.
They say heavy winds off-shore pushed back the launch until 2 a.m. Thursday morning.
Susan Hill with the SC Sea Grant Consortium says the robots will be launched off the Murrells Inlet Marina throughout the week.
The Associated Press reports the robots will be used to investigate a big flounder catch several years ago.
One robot will be deployed close to shore, while the other will help with studies far off the coast.
