Marlboro County investigators discovered three meth labs Wednesday afternoon, one of them, active.
Authorities say they had been investigating reports of suspicious activity in and around the Leroy Lane area of the county, just off of Grants Mill Road in Wallace.
Investigators say several people living in the area reported heavy traffic at one of the homes, as well as the sightings of known drug users coming in and out of the house.
Authorities say they began investigating the situation several months back, which culminated in Wednesday's discovery of the labs and some arrests in the case.
Investigators say there was an active meth lab inside the mobile home on Leroy Lane, when they arrived to the scene Wednesday.
They say they also discovered two meth labs and products that were used to make the drugs, inside nearby shed structures.
Deputies say two women inside the home, Monique Arp and Brandy Paul, will face meth manufacturing charges.
Authorities say the situation inside the home was so dangerous when they arrived, that they immediately had to close off the site, call in firefighters to assist on the scene, and begin to ventilate the home of the fumes produced by the creation of the drug.
Investigators said officials with the Drug Enforcement Administration were also called in to assist in cleanup of the site, and that the process would likely take an entire day.
Authorities said while doing a thorough search of the property, they also found several marijuana plants in two different locations and say other people could face charges in that investigation as well.
