Former S.C. Gov. Jim Hodges and former Gov. Ray Mabus of Mississippi, along with Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, rallied Barack Obama volunteers in Myrtle Beach Saturday, kicking off a get out the vote and canvass effort just a week before the January 26 primary election.
The governors also went door to door to talk to voters.
Jim Hodges said, “The fact that it's raining today and all of us feel, so passionately about Obama that we're willing to go out in the rain and knock on doors I think shows how much this country needs change and how committed we are trying to bring people together and change Washington.”
In addition to their Myrtle Beach canvass, Patrick, Hodges and Mabus will headline town halls in Charleston and Rock Hill this weekend to talk about Senator Obama.
