TIMMONSVILLE -- A Timmonsville man was shot and killed early Saturday morning at a club on Cale Yarborough Highway.
Florence Coroner M.G. "Bubba" Matthews identified the victim as Cornell Mack, 21, of Smith Street.
A Florence County Sheriff's Office said the bar tender at Strickland's Mini Mart asked Mack to leave the bar and that Mack threatened to kill the bartender.
Mack left the business but returned later with a group and pointed a gun at the owner, who pulled out his gun and shot Mack, the official said.
Several other shots were fired in the incident, the official added.
Mack was transported to a Florence hospital where he was pronounced dead of multiple gunshot wounds.
No charges have been filed in the case.
