As a senior at Francis Marion University, I have been involved with the choral program for many years. I have seen people come and go and have been through many ups and downs with each group I have been a part of. Cut Time, the show choir at FMU, is very special to me. This is my last year in the group and I want it to be special. However, the group consists mostly of new people this year and it is very different from years past. I feel like not many people are putting a lot of effort into making the group what it is capable of being. We aren’t really bad, we’re just not great. There is a lot of work to do. I still have high hopes that once we come back from the Christmas break, everyone will be refreshed and ready to start again. Our program next semester is going to be all disco music. We are performing in Disney World over spring break so we have a lot of work to do and a lot of fun to look forward to. My fingers are crossed that everything will work out.
