A Hartsville woman died in a Darlington County traffic crash Wednesday afternoon, Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee said in a press release.
Carrie Herrington Smith, 81, was the only person involved in the single-vehicle crash, which happened about 11 a.m. at the intersection of Floyd’s and Auburndale roads, near the Aubun Community outside Hartsville.
The crash is under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol and the coroner’s office, Hardee said.
