Woman found dead in North Myrtle Beach apartment

The death of a woman whose body was found Thursday morning in an apartment on Hillside Drive, is not being investigated as a homicide.

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH – The death of a woman whose body was found Thursday morning in an apartment on Hillside Drive, is not being investigated as a homicide.

The woman was identified as 42-year-old Phyllis S. Mowry by Horry County Coroner Robert Edge. Edge says the autopsy showed injuries consistant with those of a homicide.

A family member notified police of the death at 92 South Hillside Drive in North Myrtle Beach shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday morning , Nicole Aiello, North Myrtle Beach public information officer.
