A Johnsonville man was killed Friday in a traffic crash near Pamplico.
The crash happened soon after 11 a.m. at Seven Mile Road and Baby’s Lane, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Stephen M. Joye, 18, was driving a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck west on Seven Mile Road when he veered left, crossed the center line into a ditch and struck a tree, according to a press release from the Florence County Coroner’s Office.
Joye was pronounced dead at the scene of injuries he suffered in the crash, according to the coroner’s office.
