A Cheraw woman was sentenced to 84 months in federal prison for her role in a Chesterfield County drug conspiracy, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the U.S. Attorney W. Walter Wilkins.

Terris Tamara Parson, 28, faced charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

Parson was part of a drug conspiracy for six years in the county and was responsible for distributing powder cocaine, according to the release. An undercover informant made several purchases from Parson in 2006, according to the release. The case was investigated by the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Rose Mary Parham of the Florence office.
