Two men were arrested Sunday afternoon on drug charges after two residences were searched, according to a press release issued Monday by the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.
Among the items seized during the search of 3322 Renee Drive, Florence, were 2.5 pounds of marijuana valued at $3,500; 72 grams of cocaine valued at $7,200; 173 Ecstacy pills valued at $3,460; 30 Valium pills valued at $180; 57 Xanax pills valued at $342; six marijuana plants valued at $12,000; $10,747,00 in cash; two AR15 assault rifles with 800 rounds of ammunition and a Glock pistol.
The resident, 26-year-old Scottie B. Anderson, is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute ecstasy, manufacturing marijuana, two counts of possession with intent to distribute Xanax, possession with intent to distribute Valium, and possession with intent to distribute Percocet, according to the release.
A small amount of cocaine was found during a search of another residence, 1108 Steeplechase, Florence. The resident, 25-year-old Tony L. Campbell, is charged with possession of cocaine, according to the release.
Both suspects remain in custody at the Darlington County Detention Center awaiting bond hearings before county magistrates, according to the release.
The searches were conducted by sheriff’s deputies and narcotics agents with assistance from S.C. Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services, according to the release.
The release did not indicate what prompted the searches or the duration of the investigation.
