Several family members from Ronald Rabon's family watched 5 of 6 arrested suspects in a hearing today in Horry County. Rabon's 2 brothers, sister, son, niece, and ex-wife were inside the courtroom Sunday morning where they observed the suspects.
A warrant for a sixth suspect was just signed early Saturday in connection with the death of a man whose body was found outside Aynor Thursday morning. That suspect, Crystal Gayle Turner, 28, of Marion, is charged with murder and armed robbery.
Horry County Coroner Robert Edge said the body of 54-year-old Ronald Rabon of Aynor was found Thursday morning on Tobacco Leaf Lane just off U.S. 501.
Five Pee Dee residents were arrested Friday by Horry County police in connection Rabon’s death.
Jamie Dean White, 22, of Sellers; Luther Eugene Oxendine, 23, of Dillon; Paige Skipper Furniss, 23 of Hamer; Stacey Johnson, 28, of Mullins, and 26-year-old Charles Andrew Skipper, 26, of Dillon, are each charged with murder and armed robbery, J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking reports show.
A judge denied bond for White, Furniss, Skipper, and Turner on the armed robbery charge. Johnson's bond for the armed robbery charge was set at $100,000. Oxendine is awaiting extradition to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center from Dillon. His hearing is expected to take place sometime in the coming week when he arrives.
The judge did not set bond for the murder charges, those are scheduled to be heard in General Sessions Court.
Horry County Police Sgt. Robert Kegler said Rabon’s body was discovered by a garbage truck driver about 3 a.m.
Rabon appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds, Kegler said.
