Computer Inferno closes

»  Comments | Post a Comment

A controversial Grand Strand computer store closed. News 13 learned from a customer that Computer Inferno in Socastee had a sign on its door saying they closed and were no longer associated with Seaside Computers.

The owner Robert Hussey is the owner of both Computer Inferno and Seaside Computers. Hussey said in an exclusive statement that he closed the business to simplify his operations. He realized there will be problems, but he's worked to resolve nearly all the customer issues.

In July, News 13 reported that Microsoft filed a suit against Hussey on charges of pirating software. He was also charged in Horry County a few months back on charges of selling a refurbished computer as new.

At last word, 15th Circuit Cout Solicitor Greg Hembree said Hussey has until the end of August to either plead guilty or go to court on the county charges.
