One person injured in jet ski crash

The Department of Natural Resources is investigating a personal watercraft crash in North Myrtle Beach that left one person injured.

According to officials with the North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety, a woman riding a jet ski on the Intracoastal Waterway collided with a pylon that supports the Barefoot Resort bridge just before 2:00 p.m.

Family members were able to pull the victim to shore, where paramedics were able to pick her up.

She was transported by helicopter to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

There is no word on her condition.
